¿Qué necesito saber sobre las diferentes versiones del estándar HDMI?

HDMI es un estándar de audio, video digital y datos utilizado en muchos PCs, monitores y pantallas de televisión.

HDMI reemplaza los estándares de vídeo analógico (vídeo compuesto, S-Video, etc.), es el primer estándar multimedia digital para consumo.

En los ordenadores, se puede substituir la señal de video por VGA incluido el audio.

El vídeo de HDMI es compatible con DVI. HDMI puede adaptarse pasivamente a DVI y viceversa, pero no hay soporte para audio en DVI.
